Frigid temps and wind…

...mean no neighborhood walks and that has not been a good thing for my program.

While I have been going to the gym each day it's not enough. My morning and afternoon walks are essential to burning enough calories to lose weight.

Cold and windy weather started on Friday but it wasn't too bad to walk. Steps, calories burned and calories eaten worked out pretty good.

Saturday was brutal. No outside walking. I did spend extra time in the gym so my calories burned/eaten ratio worked out. Steps fell short.

Sunday was the worst. A little snow but very cold and windy. No outside walks for sure. Went to the gym for a workout but still steps fell short as did calorie deficit.

Yesterday worked out better. Went to the gym for a workout and bundled up for a walk in the afternoon.

Soooo, since I'm having a rest day today, I'd better bundle up and go for a walk. It's a little better today - 16 and sunny and the wind is only 7 mph. At least the wind chill is no longer minus something.

I will need at least 3 miles - it won't be all at once though 🙂
