Jefferson City to Hermann
We started the day with a tour of the Missouri State Capitol. Well worth the time spent.
From the Capitol we were shuttled to Mokane which is about 18 miles down the trail. Here we met up with the hardcore riders who skipped the tour and rode out from Jeff City. We rode from there to Portland which is about 9 miles for the first SAG stop. Then on another 10 miles to Rhineland for a trailside lunch. After lunch was only 5 miles to the trailhead in McKittrick where a shuttle picked us up if we did not want to ride the road into Hermann.

Missouri River about 30 miles east of Jefferson City. It was fairly calm today.
